Reading the numbers
RTP, volatility and maximum win — what each figure actually tells you
Every game tile on this page carries three numbers. Understanding what they mean is worth
more than any playing strategy, because together they describe exactly what kind of session
a title will give you.
Return to player (RTP)
RTP is the percentage of everything staked that a game returns to players across a very
large number of rounds. A figure of 96.5% means that for every ₹100 wagered on the title
over millions of spins, ₹96.50 is returned and ₹3.50 is kept.
Two things about this number are commonly misunderstood. First, it is a long-run average
and says nothing about your session — a hundred spins can land anywhere. Second, it is not
a ranking of "good" and "bad" games, because a 96% low-volatility slot and a 96%
very-high-volatility slot return the same amount in completely different shapes.
In the IN7 lobby, published RTP ranges from around 95.7% on the most aggressive slots up
to 99.29% on Speed VIP Blackjack played with correct basic strategy. You can sort this page
by RTP using the control above.
Volatility
Volatility describes how the return is distributed. Low volatility means frequent small
wins and a balance that drifts gently. Very high volatility means most rounds return
nothing and the theoretical average is delivered through rare, very large outcomes.
This is the figure that should set your stake. On a low-volatility title, a session budget
divided by 100 rounds is reasonable. On a very high volatility title, divide by 300 or more
— otherwise the bankroll cannot survive the dry spells the maths assumes.
Maximum win
The maximum win is a hard cap expressed as a multiple of your stake. A 5,000x cap on a
₹10 spin means the game will not pay more than ₹50,000 on that round regardless of what
lands. It is a useful indicator of a title's ambition, but it should play no part in
planning: outcomes near the cap are astronomically rare.
Putting the three together
A title with 96.5% RTP, low volatility and a 500x cap is a long, steady session with
limited upside — good for stretching a small deposit or clearing wagering. A title with
96.5% RTP, very high volatility and a 5,000x cap is the same theoretical return delivered
as a lottery ticket. Neither is better; they suit different budgets and different moods.
Choosing deliberately between them is the most useful decision you make before you stake
anything.
